About the project

As data and editorial designer for Brown Political Review, I worked on both the long-form features and the data pages of the Spring 2026 issue.

Special Features

Special Features

I laid out two special-feature articles: “The Fall Girls,” on women scapegoated in Trump’s cabinet, and “Members Only,” on statelessness in Kuwait. I built the page structure, column grid, text flow and pull-quote placement, balancing long-form reading with the illustrations. Headline typography and the features’ colour system by the BPR editorial team. Illustrations by Bath Hernandez.

A data spread turning findings from the issue’s articles into quick visual stories, created with Carys Lam and Devika Govindrao on the BPR Data Board. I designed the spread’s colour system and three of its visualisations: • NATO defence spending: Lithuania vs Belgium measured against NATO’s 20% equipment target • Interstate watersheds: a map of water flowing across state borders • Special education funding: the gap between the 40% Congress promised and the 12% delivered
